English Muffins
Crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. These English muffins are the perfect vehicle for your favourite sweet or savoury toppings!
Flourless whole orange cake
A gorgeous classic recipe that everyone should have in their arsenal. This is a gluten-free, easily thrown together recipe that makes an incredibly delicious, almost fudgy orange cake. What a great way to make use of beautiful in-season citrus!
My Favourite Fruit Bread
There’s nothing quite like the smell of freshly baked bread - even better when it’s lightly spiced and studded full with jewels of dried fruit. This is my favourite recipe (so far!). Devour this gorgeous loaf toasted til golden brown, then slathered with salty butter. Thank me later.
Jasmine Tea Madeleines with Blackberry Jam
These gorgeous shell-shaped cakey bites are my twist on the traditional French pastry - flavoured with fragrant jasmine tea and filled with a tangy blackberry jam. As with most LozFoz Bakes recipes - make this your own - swap out the tea, change up the jam, or leave them out completely for a classic madeleine.
Hong Kong-Style Egg Tarts
Tender, buttery pastry and a perfectly set, lightly sweetened custard that melts in your mouth. These egg tarts are a dim sum classic dessert that I can’t believe I’ve never made before!
(Almost Perfect) Roasted Plum Tosca Cake
This cake has it all - perfectly cooked, intensified fruit at its very peak; soft, springy, lightly spiced sponge; and a golden, crunchy, caramelly nut topping. Roasting these plums turns them jammy and unctuous - the perfect way to celebrate late season stone fruit.
Things I’ve Never Made Before ep02: Sfogliatelle
These crunchy, golden pastries from Naples are the reason I started my ‘Things I’ve Never Made Before’ series! A true labour of love. Traditionally filled with ricotta, semolina & orange peel, this Italian pastry might contain simple ingredients, but are works of culinary art.
Nutty No Bake Caramel Slice
An indulgent treat perfect for gifting (to others or yourself…). This no-bake slice is packed full of delicious caramel, salty, nutty goodness and topped with a layer of rich dark chocolate. A total crowd pleaser!
Brown Sugar Pavlova with Summer Fruit
A brown sugar twist on an Aussie (and/or Kiwi) Christmas classic, topped with beautiful seasonal summer fruit - the best of everything a hot Christmas has to offer.
Cornflake & Cranberry Cookies
Cranberry & cornflake cookies - crunchy, not-too-sweet, deliciously golden biscuits to enjoy for afternoon tea. This is a simple recipe that makes a crowd pleasing snack! Enjoy.
Shakshuka Pide
My Shakshuka pide is inspired by my favourite brunch ever. Rich, tomato-y capsicum sauce cradles perfectly runny eggs in a crisp yet pillowy pide base.
Cha Siu Soh
These delicious and moreish parcels are a yumcha/dim sum classic. I’m keeping things traditional here and honouring the smoky, salty/sweet Chinese style BBQ roast pork by blanketing it in buttery, flaky pastry.
